1.975 Run: Road to Resilience

The Lambda Theta Alpha Foundation's Annual 1.975 Run is back! Last year, you and all of our supporters collectively raised over $23,000 for local organizations doing great work in their communities. This year, we're hoping to raise even more in support of local grassroots organizations working to help their communities on the Road to Resilience.

Throughout the last year, the dual pandemics of COVID-19 and racial injustice left many of us feeling tired and depleted. But we know, like so many times before, we can rise up. The definition of resilient is to be able to withstand or recover quickly from difficult conditions. We know our community and supporters are resilient. Join us on the Road to Resilience as we stand up for our communities, our loved ones, and ourselves.

A Virtual Run is a race that you can run, walk, treadmill, or bike at anytime from anywhere. Just like an in-person race, a finisher medal goes around your neck to celebrate your success. They give you the freedom to run your own route and the ability to join others and be part of something special.

Join us remotely on Saturday, June 26th for the 1.975 Run. You can look forward to the following events:

  • 10:00 AM ET - Group Warm Up & Opening Remarks from the LTA Foundation Board President, Denise Vidot via Instagram LIVE

  • 10:30 AM ET - 1.975 Mile Run / Walk

  • 3:45 PM ET - Post Run Celebration and Raffle Winner Announcement via Instagram LIVE

While we plan to have collective events to encourage community-building, you are welcome to complete the 1.975 Run on your own schedule.

Great experience!

I've ran both times virtually and I've enjoyed it every time. Pre-pandemic, the race is in person at a central location. This is the 2nd year that the race is completely virtual which means I can run it wherever, whenever. I received my "swag" on time and I'm ready for this year!
