As we slowly return back to normalcy, the Om Foundation is happy to announce and host the 4th Annual Om Memorial 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk on September 12th, 2021 in Thompson Park, Monroe, NJ. . Join us to celebrate optimism and hope after a year of trying times. The foundation is always trying to advocate for positivity amidst adversity and we hope that now more than ever, we are able to achieve this!
Organized by Monroe Indians for Civic Action (MICA) and supported by Agraj Seva Kendra, Indian Cultural Association of Monroe (ICAM), Rotary Interact Club of Monroe/Jamesburg, Guru Nanak Sikh Heritage and Sewa International - NJ.

Our Work:
Support Pediatric Cancer Research
- Pledged $150k to the Rutgers Cancer Institute of NJ for pediatric cancer research and funded $60K so far. Click here to see press release from Cancer Institute of New Jersey
Promote Pediatric Cancer Education &Awareness
- Sponsored 25 children from Monroe to Rutgers Oncology Olympiad
- Sponsored 40 students from MTHS to attend Rutgers CINJ’s BOLD Camp -Cancelled
- Conducted Oncology Poster Contest at MTHS Green/Science Fair and donated Oncology Posters to Pediatric Cancer Patients at RWJ Cancer Hospital
- Promoted Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month - banner at Municipal Plaza, events, social media, etc.
Bring smiles, positive attitudes, and power of perseverance to children
- Annual ‘Month of Optimism’ events at MTMS in February
- Sponsored ‘Kindness Matters’ event for 587 sixth grade students
- Annual Optimism awards at MTMS and MTHS (scholarships)
- Donated Lego table and Om Mural at Monroe Twp Library
- Annual Makerfest table at Monroe Twp Library in March

- Provided financial support to Monroe families affected by adversity
