Fall Family Fest - Trick or Trot Run/Walk Race Description

Description:

The City of Greenfield Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a Halloween themed Run/Walk on the trails of Konkel Park in partnership with Fall Family Fest.  Choose from one of two options of routes:  or 5K (Frankenstein Five @ 10:00 am) and the 1 Mile (Monster Mile @ 12:00 pm).

Come dressed in your favorite Halloween Costume and run or walk next to your fellow ghosts and goblins. Stay after to enjoy the food and beverage trucks for Fall Family Fest. All participants dressed in a Halloween costume can enter our Costume Contest for a chance to win a prize! Sure to please all - casual walkers, serious runners, and those looking for a fun Halloween event for the family. 

Proceeds to benefit Greenfield Parks and Recreation Youth Scholarship Assistance Fund, which provides financial assistance for families in need.  This fund gives families a discounted rate on Recreational Programs and ensures that everyone has an opportunity to participate in life-changing recreational activities.

All participants in the 5K - Frankenstein Five will receive a beverage ticket for a beer or soda and much more!

Course description:

Out and back trail run in Konkel Park and down one city street.

Street parking down side streets across Layton Ave

Awards info:

 

All participants in the 5K - (Frankenstein Five) will receive a Finishers medal.
 
Awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each age division for male and female for the 5K only.

  • 30-39
  • 40-49
  • 50-59
  • 60+
Walkers will have a chance to participate in our "I Spy A Pumpkin" contest for a chance to win a basket full of Fall goodies!

10:00 a.m. Frankenstein Five (5K Run/Walk)
12:00 p.m. Monster Mile (1 Mile Run/Walk)

Event Apparel

1 mile participants will receive a t-shirt with their registration. 

5K participants will receive a long sleeve  t-shirt and finishers medal with their registration. 

 

Packet pickup:

 

Friday, October 4th at the Greenfield Community Center from 3:00-6:00pm

Race Day Pick Up: Konkel Park

 

Registration info:

Service fee of $2.00 is added to your total plus a lost revenue Fee for the merchant card transaction.

 
These fees can be avoided by registering in person at the Greenfield Office or at same day registration.
