First Annual VFW Post 3033 / Auxiliary Turkey Trot Race Description
First Annual VFW Post 3033 / Auxiliary 5K Turkey Trot
Join us for a festive and fun 5K run/walk.
When: November 23, 2024
Where: 1681 S Bamber Rd Mt. Pleasant, MI 48858 (This is the Parking lot). The Mount Pleasant High School Cross Country Course is just east of this.
Why participate?
- Support a great cause: Proceeds will benefit Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3033, helping to fulfill the VFW's mission of supporting veterans and their families.
- Get into the holiday spirit: Enjoy a fun and festive atmosphere with family and friends.
- Start your Thanksgiving with a healthy dose of exercise: Burn off some calories before the feast.
Race details:
- Distance: 5 kilometers (3.1 miles)
- Course: Mostly flat, field and wooded trails.
- Registration: Online, or day of the race. If you register online, you will get a T-shirt, if you wait till after November 1,2024, you may not be guaranteed a T-shirt.
- Packet pickup: November 23, 2024, packet pickup from 8 AM till 845. Pick up your bib, T-Shirt, and course map.
Post-race festivities:
- Awards ceremony: Recognize top finishers.
- Post Race: Enjoy a Spaghetti brunch after the run at Post 3033 (4841 E Pickard St, Mt Pleasant, MI 48858) for a meal and award ceremony.
