Officer Wilsons Second Annual 5K Run

Description:

Officer Wilson, was a volunteer police officer for the Village of New London, Ohio's Police Department. He served as a volunteer for over 14 years and officially became part of the Unit after, serving for two years. He loved his Harley Davidson Classic, loved, loved, loved his Dodge Ram, and loved, loved his monster, giant tools. He was a certified WreckMaster and worked on Fire Trucks and EMS Vans for the City of Cleveland Ohio for over 20 years. He was an Army Vet and also loved, loved his collection of guns. Wilson had a thing for rocks, crystals, and gems...most importantly...he had a personal weight gym in his living room, it currently resides at the NLPD for other officers to use. 

He was known to many as the "Gentle Giant" always cracking jokes and drinking coffee! He loved, loved Coffee. 

The month of October is the month we have chosen to celebrate Officer Wilson. This time it will be a Virtual Run. Awards and prizes will be provided, we are still working on how to get these to you. 

The reason for the last-minute change has to do with Medical events and another family loss in Officer Wilson's family. We apologize for the inconvenient and thank you for your interest and participation. 

Run hosted by the New London, Ohio Police Department, and Wilson's Family.  

All proceeds will be going to Officer Wilson’s Non-Profit.

HOW TO COMPLETE YOUR VIRTUAL RUN/WALK  

• Register for the race and print your bib
• Complete a 5k run/walk at your convenience, any time, anywhere between October 1 - 31, 2022
• Submit your time (optional) to see how you placed overall and receive your finisher certificate.
• Celebrate your accomplishment by sharing on social media! #5Kevents
