Pink Lady Walk 5K Walk/Run

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006 and again in 2012. My encounter with the disease inspired me to do all that I can to raise awareness, increase learning, and improve understanding of breast cancer within my community. In 2014, I organized the first Pink Lady Walk event. It was then that I realized that providing financial support to affected individuals and families would be the primary focus. Since 2014, Pink Lady Walk has raised funds for 18 breast cancer survivors, a child with cancer, Hospice of Limestone County, AL, The Patient Assistance Fund at the Southern Cancer Center, and Joy to Life Foundation in Montgomery, AL.
