| Description: | The National Honor Society of Nature Coast Technical High School welcomes you to join us as we run, walk and jog to raise funds for K9 Partners for Patriots by hosting our very own 5K COLOR run! Throughout the course you will experience color powder splash zones where you will be doused in color. You will also top it all off with final color toss celebration at the finish line.
Register Early! Virtual and Regular Registrations include a race t-shirt color packet race bib These items are ONLY GUARANTEED if you sign up before January 20, 2022. You can pick up your items at the check-in table on race day or make arrangements with the race director for earlier pick up. Virtual participants will have their items sent to registration address. Late registrations WILL NOT be guaranteed a shirt or color packet - supplies will be limited. All proceeds benefit K9 Partners for Patriots (k9partnersforpatriots.com) a non-profit organization dedicated to giving veterans and active military a second chance at life by honoring and empowering them through the experience of training and caring for their own service dog. | Course Description: | The course winds twice around our NCTHS campus and will be easily visible via our cones and our volunteers. The course will be closed to incoming traffic for the safety of all participants during the race. |
| Starting line: | Race check-in starts at 8 am in the back bus loop parking lot. You'll pick up all of your swag including your race t-shirt, and then be right at the start line to start your color run adventure. |
| Parking Instructions: | Race participants are asked to park in the front of the school and then walk back to the registration area. Volunteers will direct participant where to park and help guide you to the registration area. |
| Charity Information: | K9 Partners for Patriots serves to give veterans and active military a second chance at life by honoring and empowering those with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Traumatic Brain Injury, and Military Sexual Trauma through the experience of training and caring for their own service dog. The good and important work being done by K9 Partners for Patriots would not be possible without the kind compassion of people just like you. Your generous contributions help ensure that their mission to eliminate veteran suicide remains strong long into the future. |
| What to wear: |
Make sure you wear white so that all of the fabulous color that you pick up along the way will show up bright and clear. We'll have several photo ops for your and your friends and a photo team that will help you capture those great memories. All of the color is designed to wash out of your fabrics and at the most should only need some stain remover to get them back to normal. However, you might want to consider a towel or some bags to cover your car seats on the way home just to save the hassle of cleaning the car too. |
