The resource of having a K9 teams gives us a more efficient way to locate narcotics, fleeing or hiding offenders, the recovery of evidence, and an invaluable increase in Officer safety. Simply put, the K9 officers can do things our human deputies can not and for that they are invaluable to our agency and the communities we serve.

These K9 teams also are great in the community and can be seen at numerous community events promoting safety and community awareness on the police K9 abilities. Our K9 unit costs are all covered by community donations and funds raised by fundraisers put on during the year.
