The Cheddar Cheese Festival and The Cheddar Challenge 8/2/2025
We are partnering with The 15th Annual Cheddar Cheese Festival, Adams, NY for the 2nd Annual Cheddar Cheese Challenge 2025 .
Come join us for the ride and enjoy the festivities after.
We are very excited to be Starting and Finishing at Xtreme SportsPlex in Adams, NY.

Registration Opens at 7:30 AM, Satuday, August 2nd.
Course options
Choose your Challenge:
- 9:00 AM Start- Xtra Sharp Cheddar, 50 miles - Ride surfaces include tarmac, smooth dirt, rough dirt, cobbles, and double track. Gravel bike is recommended, a Mountain Bike is a viable option.
- 9:05 AM Start- Sharp Cheddar, 31 miles - Ride surfaces include tarmac, smooth dirt, rought dirt, cobbles, and chip & seal. Gravel bike is recommended, a Mountain Bike is a viable option.
- 9:05 AM Start- Mild Cheddar, 10 miles - Ride surfaces include tarmac, smooth dirt, rough dirt, cobbles, and double track. A Gravel or Mountain Bike is recommended and a Hybrid is a viable option.
- 9:30 AM Start- The Curds, Family Fun COSTUME* Ride, Run, Walk - You may choose to dress up yourself, your bike, stroller or your parent! If you decide to put on a costume AND/OR dress up your bike, stroller or parent, there will be a contest and prize for the best costume!
*Costume is optional, not required.
Your course will be paved village streets-You may choose to ride, run or walk- Riders will have a seperate start 5 min before Runners and Walkers.

One of the best gravel courses in the North East. The Xtra Sharp is pretty typical of NE gravel for length (50 miles) and looks like a little less less climbing on paper. Make no mistake though, the course is plenty challenging and mixes in some of the best gravel riding you’ll find. Champagne gravel, rough cobbles, forest roads, long climbs, punchy pitches, and just enough pavement to tie it all together. Bring all the watts and bring the family. This little grassroots race is a gem! SO much bang for your buck here…very well-organized, professional chip timing, great festival to enjoy afterwards, great swag and course options for everyone.
Great event for this area! The route was very challenging and a true testament to the beast that is the tug hill. The aide stations were in great spots. The course making was exceptional. 10/10 will be back next year
