This isn't just any race—it's your chance to conquer a wild blend of north country roads and classic Adirondack gravel, packed with climbs, breathtaking views, and surprises for every rider. Whether you choose the 30-mile or 49-mile route, you'll tackle rocks, gravel, smooth roads, rolling hills, and even a category 4 climb. Want something smoother?  Are you a beginner? We have a 10.6 mile route that includes smooth pavement and gravel but challenges you with 2 short but tough climbs just before you finish.

Riders score tasty food, a cool swag, t-shirt, unexpected treats, loaded aid stations, and courses so well-marked you'll never get lost (unless you want to!).

Ooh, did we mention we have showers? Bring your own towel and toiletries to take advantage of this great perk!

Choosing a Bike for the Croghan Crusher Gravel Grinder

For all three courses, a gravel bike is likely to be the most popular choice because it offers a strong balance of speed, comfort, and technical handling.

·        Gravel bike: Best overall option for most riders, especially if you want an efficient ride across mixed surfaces.

·        Mountain bike: A solid choice if you want extra control and confidence on rougher or more technical sections.

·        Hybrid bike: Usable if it is your preferred bike and you are comfortable riding it over gravel terrain.
