Join us for your choice of a 5K or a leisurely walk - "Hop Trot 5K" taking place on June 5, 2021 at Littleport Brewery and Hop to it, Brewing and Wine-Making (DP Wigley).

The day starts out with an inspiring run/walk along the Root River and Lake Michigan Pathway. All Registrants will receive a finishers medal and complimentary soda or beer (must be over 21). After the run, take a walk to Littleport Brewery and enjoy a little taste of Racine.
Get your friends, co-workers, family, and relatives together for this fun, relaxing day in Downtown Racine! THIS IS A FUN RUN - Friendly competition is encouraged, but understand this is a unique route that likely will not allow you to PR. Just enjoy the run and have fun!
The Main Street Bridge: This is our fourth year utilizing this route. We want to caution you that there is a possibility the Main Street Bridge may be up on your return back to the finish line. This is out of our control as the Coast Guard will not allow us to keep the bridge closed. We feel the route is so unique and picturesque it's worth the potential hiccup. If this happens, volunteers will direct you to an alternate crossing. If for any reason you get held back on the opposite side of the bridge, please note the delay and your time will be adjusted to reflect the same. The bridge raises every 20 minutes if needed for boat traffic.

All Pre-Registered participants are guaranteed to receive a Finishers medal, T-shirt is optional.

We’re here to help you achieve your goal(s), be it your first 5K, improving your run, or simply offering a resource where you can run with a group that is designed to help each other stay motivated. You should ease into your 5K training plan gradually. In fact, the program we provide is less of a running regimen than a walking and jogging program. The idea is to transform you from a non-runner, getting you to begin running a 5K ( or 3.1 miles) and on a regular basis in just 4 weeks.
It’s easy to get impatient, and you may feel tempted to skip ahead in the program, but hold yourself back. Don’t try to do more, even if you feel you can. If, on the other hand, you find the program too strenuous, just stretch it out. Don’t feel pressured to continue faster than you’re able. Repeat weeks if needed and move ahead only when you feel you’re ready.
