2.23 Mile Run for Ahmaud Race Description

www.Ahmaud-223.5k.run - May, 23, 2020 -Virtual 2.23 Miles (3.6K) / Remote Run 

This FREE event is a REMOTE RUNNERS only (aka Virtual 5k). Runners can self-time and should keep their respective physical distances. Instructions on how to participate are shown below. All packets will be shipped prior to race day. We will be donating $5.00 for every Remote Runners Apparel Item purchased through this site to a charity designated by the Ahmaud Family. The REMOTE RUNNERS program allows runners or walkers to self-time. You will be able to run at your pace, your place, your time, your date. SUBMIT YOUR RACE TIMES by logging in under the "Manage My Registration" tab above, then click on "SUBMIT MY RESULTS".  

About Ahmaud: 

We are running to honor Ahmaud Arbery, a member of our running community after he was chased down and fatally shot on Feb. 23 by Gregory McMichael, 64, and Travis McMichael, 34, in Brunswick, Georgia. Ahmaud was shot and killed by two men while he was jogging through a south Georgia neighborhood in February. The Remote Run/Walk will be 2.23 miles to recognize the date 25-year-old Ahmaud Arbery was shot and killed.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE: 

STEP 1: Register for the event 

STEP 2: Get the FREE RunGo App (Optional - manual option also available)

Download the FREE RunGo app for iPhone, Android, or Apple Watch. You may also download the course GPX to your Garmin, Suunto, etc. devices. 

STEP 3: Create your own route or follow the official event route on RunGo with the built-in turn-by-turn voice navigation, without getting lost, and without needing a map! At the end of the run, return to this site to post your distance and time. 

STEP 4: Run the Route!
