Open to Runners and Walkers of all levels. Join us for this friendly competition.
In absence of the "Border War Beer Fest" and in effort to keep this friendly battle between Illinois and Wisconsin Runners/Walkers alive, we have renamed this event the "Illinois VS Wisconsin 5K". We will continue the tradition to see which state has the best average 5K time for runners and walkers. Besides individual awards, the times of all the athletes will be averaged to find our winner - between Wisconsin and Illinois - giving the state bragging rights. We hope to see our friends return the "Border War Beer Fest" soon!

All participants will receive a custom finisher's medal. Age group winners will be recognized with a recognition pin.

Always exceptionally well organized event. 5k Events is professionally run and timing is spot-on, plus a beautiful run along the lake. Easy in and out to race. Lot's going on after in the surrounding area. Well worth the trip.
