North Beach 5K - Racine Race Description
North Beach 5K Run/Walk
- Date: Saturday, July 12, 2025
- Time: Location: North Beach Oasis, 100 Kewaunee Street, Racine, WI 53402
- Packet pickup: 8:00 am - 8:45 am
- Race start: 9:00 am
- Course: Out and back course starting at the North Beach Oasis. Runners will head north on the paved bike trail, with beautiful views of Lake Michigan on their right. The course continues onto Michigan Blvd, where runners will turn around and head back to the finish.
- Awards:.
- Top three male and female finishers in each age group (5-year increments) will receive recognition pins.
- All finishers will receive a custom finisher's medal, commemorative towel (while supplies last), complimentary beer (for those over 21), goodie bag, and entry into a post-race raffle.

- Youth (17 and under): $15

- Water Safety -
After the race, enjoy a beautiful day at the beach! But before you go, please learn more about Lake Michigan rip tides. These powerful currents can quickly pull swimmers away from shore, and they can be deadly.
Here are some tips for staying safe in Lake Michigan:
- Always swim in a designated swimming area with lifeguards on duty.
- Never swim alone.
- Be aware of the water conditions and pay attention to any warning flags.
- If you get caught in a rip current, don't panic. Swim parallel to the shore until you are out of the current, then swim back to shore.

The North Beach 5K Run/Walk is a fun and scenic race that benefits the Friends of Racine Parks Recreation and Cultural Services, Inc. The race is open to all ages and abilities, and it's a great way to enjoy a summer morning in Racine.

POSITIVES: well organized & laid out course easy to follow loop course (straight out then a 180 then back) nice views of Lake good paved path and street nice goody bag quick results friendly crowd & staff good bathrooms excellent free parking close to start/finish NEGATIVES: 2 short but steep hills on way out and back due to hills is not a PR course
We were told towels did not arrive on time and would be mailed. Never received. Don't run with this company
Race started early without prior any announcement. Was told medals didn’t arrive on time and would instead be mailed… it’s been 6 weeks and still no medals or communication regarding the issue. I’ve trying calling, emailing, and messaging through Facebook and no response.

The race started 4 minutes early with no warning and they said medals would be mailed. It has been a month and I have not received anything in the mail.

Beautiful views on an out & back course! Very organized, easy convenient packet pickup, enjoyed the post-race beer! Will do again next year!
