"Come" walk or run with us around the beautiful seaside harbor of Marina Del Rey. This event is open to both runners and walkers; adults and children - no matter how fast or slow you finish.
Course Description: Virtual-Remote:
You can complete your race on your own around your home, at the gym on a treadmill – essentially you can participate from anywhere in the world! Our race comes with no time pressure – your pace is individual to you and you will earn your medal for completing whatever your speed.
If you’re in the Southern California area we’ve mapped out an amazing route for you to complete your virtual 5K. This route takes you on a tranquil coastal experience of the most soothing and picturesque features of the calming waterfront views of Marina Del Rey.
The route starts and ends at Burton W. Chace Park (13650 Mindanao Way, Marina Del Ray, CA 90292)
Race Details: Complete your virtual 5K between March 14-March 27, 2021 by 12 pm PST.
Race Distance: 5K (3.1 miles)
Registration Cost: $40
Timing and Results: No official timing necessary for Remote Runners®, but you must return back to our website with your proof. We accept many forms of proof, as long as we can see you have completed the distance and the time it takes you, we’re happy. Examples include Garmin photos, app screenshots, Fitbit stats, program times, etc. SUBMIT YOUR RACE TIMES by logging in under the "Manage My Registration" tab above, then click on "SUBMIT MY RESULTS".

STEP 4: Celebrate! Join us for the Post Race Celebration on March 27, 2021, at 2 pm PST via Zoom.
Various monetary awards and bragging rights prizes to be announced at Post Race Celebration on March 27, 2021, at 2 pm PST.
Submit photos of you completing your race on our social media pages and ensure you include the hashtag #RUNDSTCCAC for a chance to win various bragging rights and monetary prizes. We will announce winners at the Virtual Post Race Celebration on March 27, 2021, from 2:00-3:30 pm PST on Zoom. Must be present to win prizes.

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Century City Alumnae Chapter (CCAC) was chartered on March 22, 1981, in Los Angeles, CA. For the past 40 years, CCAC has continued to strive for excellence in our delivery of programs to our service area. Our goal is to have an impact on the community we serve by promoting programs & projects that enrich lives through our sisterhood & committed service. Today, with over 100 members, the chapter remains at the forefront of public policy and social issues.
Delta Academy: Monthly workshops and activities that are centered around math, science, technology, and African American history for young ladies 11-14
Delta G.E.M.S: Monthly workshops on the topic of Growing and Empowering Myself Successfully for young ladies ages 14-18
E.M.B.O.D.I: Monthly workshops on the topic of Empowering Males to Build Opportunities for Developing Independence for young men ages 11-18
Live Theater for Children: Monthly cultural experiences in live music, dance, and drama to the youth of Baldwin Hills Elementary School
McAlister School for Girls: Bi-weekly workshops that provide educational supplies, clothing and personal care items, and role models for the young ladies that are pregnant or parenting
The vision of the Violet Foundation is to support charitable activities primarily in the areas of education, economic empowerment, cultural awareness, physical and mental health, and international philanthropy. We use our resources and relationship capital to inspire, encourage, and impact.
Violet Foundation UCLA Guardian Program: Assists youth in the foster care system while they are in college through financial literacy
Violet Foundation Fellowship Program: Assists high school and college students who are making a difference in their communities and assist them with either financial aid or professional experience in their chosen field and or both
Violet Foundation Violet/Purple Luggage Drive: Assists youth in the foster care system as they move from home to home or from the home to college or living on their own
Proceeds from the race will go towards various youth and charitable programs in West Los Angeles listed above. All donations are tax-deductible in accordance with IRS guidelines.
